Juan - you have the right to your opinion, but a lot of farmers, scientists and other practitioners of organics disagree. Your definition is very narrow, not terribly thoughtful, strangely focuses only on pesticides, and is rather preachy. Luckily I talk to a lot of people and consult a lot of sources. Best wishes, Dave

NOT TRUE: Organics is an agricultural system that focuses on creating bio-coexistence, namely, that plants and animals inhabit the land and contribute to it in a natural way.

TRUE: Organics prohibits the use of industrial chemicals including synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

Definition of organic agriculture is using pesticides of natural origin. nothing else. All the rest (coexistence of other organisms, etc) CAN be done as well but is not mandatory. Organic viticulture uses pesticides!!! Sulfur, Bordalais mix (very toxic actually), etc. the only difference is that those chemicals are NOT made in a laboratory.

I certainly agree and appreciate that fact. But baiting and switching is just dishonest and it gives restaurants a bad name and ultimately, people drink less wine and spend less becasue of it.

I'm overjoyed that you like us!

What makes Maso Canali unique is the “Passito” technique. It brings out a crisp, fruity wine that comes with a very full, ripe palate. Since a portion of the grapes are dried before being fermented, it makes for a rounder wine with a fuller mouth feel. It also concentrates the fruit flavors of pineapple and apricot. Definitely of interest to white naysayers.

I really like the Kunde Merlot from 2003. K & L had a great deal on it in a Magnum, so we had it last year for Thanksgiving.

I've never tried their Chardonnay, but now you have me intrigued. I'll have to pick some up.
